This morning, I wasn’t able to go to church so I just watched a live TV Mass at Studio 23. The homily was about the life of a celebrity turned politician. The priest doesn’t know him personally, but he just feels that it was worth sharing. This politician had gone through a lot of hardships in life. He lived in Tondo, Manila, and belonged to a poor family, and worst they are not the legal family of his father. As young as 10 years old, he’s already helping his mother by going house-to-house while pushing a cart, collecting old newspapers and used bottles and other junks. He also tried the job of a garbage collector. And then, his life was totally changed when he got himself a break in show business after a talent scout discovered him in a funeral he attended.
