UST is LOVE

Finally, after so many years, I came back to my alma mater: The Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas, The Catholic University of the Philippines, or simply UST 🙂 The experience was very overwhelming and nostalgic. It definitely brought back some precious memories of my college years.

The jeepney ride to Dapitan was exhausting but I enjoyed every bit of it! Manila jeepneys are incredibly fast, even if some of them are old and rusty. We passed by some familiar streets, and I was like pointing at some recognizable landmarks to my boyfriend and telling him that they have not changed. This is the same route I was taking every time I go to UST before, and I was very excited to see Asturias Street.

My classmates and I used to eat footlongs and fish balls here. You can also see from here the UST Library (Miguel de Benavides Library). But I was somehow disappointed when I saw a new building covering the library, oh well.

St. Raymond Building. For four years, inside those walls, a dead kid (which is me) struggled and conquered the world! 😀 Yes, I was a dead kid, favorite targets of bullies, but that deserves another blog entry. We share this building with the AB students, but we used to call it Commerce Bldg, lol.

This is the Main Building, with all its majestic glory. My boyfriend was very amazed with the interior design of the building. More pics:

Our next stop is the UST Publishing House, to get my yearbook.

It’s time to go but I wish we can stay a little longer. I just took more pictures as we exit the university. I never realized that I missed this place. There have been so many changes in the university, but the feel of the air, the elegance and the greatness of the place is still the same.
